Dr Shelton Smith BVSc (Hons) GPCert (SAM, B.& PS)

Dr Shelton graduated from Sydney University Veterinary School with first class honours in 2000.
He was born and raised in the local area, however he has spent many years travelling to parts of Australia and abroad in order to further his Veterinary skills.
Working in both Australia and the UK, Shelton has gained extensive experience in veterinary medicine and surgery.
In 2008/2009, Shelton obtained the further postgraduate qualifications in Small Animal Medicine and Veterinary Business and Professional Services from the European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies.
In 2010 Shelton travelled to Edinburgh, Scotland, where he worked in a specialist veterinary hospital and obtained extensive training in his areas of interests in endoscopy, laparoscopy and surgery in general.
Shelton also has a keen personal interest in reptile medicine and surgery. He has kept many species of reptiles and currently has several pythons at home.
In the UK, Shelton completed courses in Advanced Exotic Animal Medicine and Surgery. He has had the pleasure to have treated everything from chameleons, tortoises, snakes and caimans Shelton is the new partner at St George Animal Hospital and is working hard to provide gold standard care to all the patients. When not working, Shelton enjoys spending time with his wife and three small children, being bossed around by the family cat Ginger and walking his Great Dane Digby.
Dr Peter Britton BVSc (Hons)
Peter's experience over 30 years as a practicing veterinarian has moved him from post graduate training in orthopaedics in Bern, Switzerland to alpine practice in Europe and on to small animal work in China, Hong Kong and Japan.
After completing studies at Monash University in Embryonic Stem Cells he became the first veterinarian in Australia to do successful stem cell therapy in dogs.
Peter established and supports the Sydney Cats & Dogs Home, a large charity for stray and abandoned animals. He has also been a founding member of the Australian Foundation of Veterinary Conservation Biologist and helped establish a clinic for elephants in Chitwan National Park in Nepal. Peter has also contributed to veterinary work in remote areas of rural China.
His current research interests are diseases of blindness in dogs and kidney failure in cats.
Dr Louise Dawson BVSc
Dr Louise graduated from Sydney University Veterinary school in 2005. Louise has been a long term member of the team at St George Animal Hospital, where she initially worked as a veterinary nurse whilst studying to become a veterinarian
Louise is a highly communicative and empathetic veterinarian, who has keen interests in small animal medicine, radiology, dermatology and cardiology. In her spare time, Louise enjoys being a book club member, doing Yoga and spending time with her husband and two children. She also has a character of a rescue cat called Chester.
Dr Pauline Phan BVSc

Pauline has been a part of the St George Animal Hospital team since 2010. She started as a veterinary nurse whilst studying veterinary science at Sydney University.
Since graduating in 2014, Pauline has developed impressive skills in both small animal medicine and surgery. She has a keen interest in soft tissue surgery and has recently been trained in laparoscopic desexing.
Pauline has a one year old rescue cat called Benjamin Button and is a foodie who enjoys travelling and tasting new cuisines.
Dr Linda Back
Linda Back, previous owner of Bexley Veterinary Hospital for many years, is now back consulting and operating in St George Animal Hospital regularly each week.
Many of Linda's older clients are delighted to see her again as her reputation as a caring and vastly experienced veterinarian is well known throughout the district.
